Pitting editors against each other is not the answer! Why do we always have to be “Team So-And-So”!? I’m sure they are both good editors.

Constructive feedback on a new editor’s first piece for a blog is fine and great. But you don’t have to attack her personally.

Her writing style is generally in the “memoir” type style- she was sharing her story of how she went from a goth, depressed teenager to a colorful, happy adult who can take the macabre with a sense of humor. From someone who has followed her online journey for years, I can testify that this is usually how she introduces herself, because this story is a big part of her identity and she wants to be an inspiration.

A high-voted comment was “clothing does not equal identity”. This should be obvious to anyone that isn’t in junior high, but what you wear can definitely by a reflection of the way that you feel. And that is the point to radical self love. Feeling good about yourself can be a catapult into attracting good things in your life, and loving clothing isn’t a bad thing- it might just mean that you love yourself.
